MOME London – Terms & Conditions
1. About MOME
MOME London is a family-focused creative play space, café and event venue designed primarily for children aged 0–4 and their accompanying adults. By making a booking, attending a session, purchasing food or drink, or using any part of the venue, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
MOME reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version published on our website will apply.
⸻
2. General Entry & Use of the Venue
Children must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times, unless attending a clearly stated hosted session where separate rules apply, such as From MOME.
Adults are responsible for supervising children in their care throughout their visit and for ensuring children use the space safely and appropriately.
MOME reserves the right to refuse entry or ask any guest to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, aggressive, inappropriate, or negatively affects the experience of other guests.
Children who are unwell should not attend. This includes, but is not limited to, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any contagious condition. MOME may refuse entry where a child appears unwell.
For safety and safeguarding reasons, MOME reserves the right to limit access to certain areas, close parts of the venue, or adjust room use at any time.
⸻
3. Bookings, Timings & Late Arrival
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received and confirmation has been issued.
Sessions run to fixed start and end times. Guests are expected to arrive and leave within their booked timeslot. Late arrival does not extend the session.
If you arrive late, entry may still be allowed at MOME’s discretion, but the full session length cannot be guaranteed. If you miss your booking entirely, the session will be treated as missed.
MOME may occasionally need to amend, move or cancel a session due to operational, staffing, safety or force majeure reasons. In such cases, a transfer or refund may be offered at MOME’s discretion.
⸻
4. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers
Unless otherwise stated, bookings are non-refundable.
Where operationally possible, bookings may be transferred to another date or session if sufficient notice is given. Transfers are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the session are typically non-refundable and non-transferable.
Missed bookings, no-shows, or late arrivals are non-refundable.
For pilot programmes, limited-time offers, special events, holiday sessions or discounted packages, separate cancellation terms may apply and will be stated at the point of booking.
⸻
5. Soft Play Sessions
Soft play bookings grant access to the play areas for the specific timeslot booked. Access is limited to the persons included in the booking.
Adults remain fully responsible for the children in their care throughout the session.
Some sessions may include hosted moments, themed programming, sensory activities, or room activations. These are enhancements to the session and do not change the general requirement for parental supervision.
MOME may operate reduced-capacity, calm or sensory-friendly sessions at certain times. These are designed to improve accessibility and experience, but guests are still expected to respect the venue rules and timings.
Socks must be worn where required. MOME reserves the right to refuse use of play equipment where safety rules are not followed.
⸻
6. Classes & Hosted Sessions
Classes are designed for the age group stated at the time of booking. MOME may refuse participation where a class is not suitable for a child’s age or developmental stage.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, classes are parent/carer attended.
Class timings are fixed and may include additional play access either before or after the class where specified at the time of booking. This does not extend beyond the allocated session structure.
Class content, teachers, facilitators and room allocations may occasionally change at short notice.
Children must be well enough and able to participate safely in a group setting. MOME may end participation if a child’s needs cannot be safely supported within the session structure.
⸻
7. From MOME / Work From MOME / Hosted Parent-On-Site Sessions
From MOME, Work From MOME, MOME Creative Club and any similar parent-on-site hosted session operate as small-group structured sessions within MOME while parents remain onsite.
These sessions are not drop-off childcare, nursery provision, or registered childcare services unless expressly stated otherwise.
Parents or legal guardians must remain within the MOME premises throughout the session, be reachable at all times, and return immediately if requested by staff.
Parents retain overall responsibility for their child at all times. MOME staff guide and support activities within the session but do not assume sole responsibility for childcare.
MOME reserves the right to ask a parent to rejoin their child if the child is distressed, unsettled, unwell, or requires care beyond the structure of the session.
Sessions are limited by age group and ratio. MOME reserves the right to adjust activity flow, room use, staffing, and grouping where necessary for safety and operational reasons.
Snack, meal, nappy, toileting and similar care needs remain the responsibility of the parent unless otherwise explicitly stated.
Parents may not leave the building during these sessions. Repeated breaches may result in cancellation of future bookings.
⸻
8. Memberships
Memberships are subject to the specific terms of the membership purchased, as stated on the website or at the point of sign-up.
Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the named child or household covered by the membership.
Membership benefits apply only while the membership is active and paid.
No rollovers apply unless expressly stated. Unused visits, sessions or benefits expire at the end of the relevant membership period.
Sibling discounts, guest passes, birthday discounts, priority access or any other member benefits are subject to availability and may be amended or withdrawn with reasonable notice.
MOME reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership if these Terms & Conditions are breached or if the membership is used in a way that is inconsistent with its intended purpose.
⸻
9. Special Events, Seasonal Sessions & Weekly Programming
Special events, holiday sessions, Secret Cinema, Dad & Me, Calm Play, Mother’s Day sessions and similar programmes are subject to availability and may have their own booking rules, age guidance, timings and capacity limits.
Such sessions may include hosted activities, special room use, themed programming, optional upgrades or add-ons. Specific inclusions will be stated at the point of booking.
Where a special session is included within a standard soft play booking, it remains optional and subject to room capacity, timing and operational flow.
MOME reserves the right to amend event details, timings, film choices, facilitators, room allocations or activity formats without liability where reasonably necessary.
⸻
10. Birthday Parties & Private Hire
Birthday party bookings are confirmed only once the required payment or deposit has been received.
Party timings are fixed and include only the areas and services agreed in the booking confirmation.
Guests may not access party spaces earlier than the agreed start time unless confirmed in writing. The venue or booked area must be vacated promptly at the agreed end time.
Where hosted entertainment or facilitated activity is included, this is delivered by MOME’s team unless otherwise agreed. External entertainers, suppliers or performers are only permitted with prior written approval.
Food and drink arrangements must be agreed in advance. Corkage, external catering or external cakes may be restricted, charged, or prohibited depending on the package booked.
Final guest numbers, dietary requirements and food selections must be confirmed by the deadline stated by MOME. MOME cannot guarantee changes after that point.
Party payments, deposits and cancellations are governed by the terms stated in the party booking agreement or invoice. Deposits are generally non-refundable.
MOME reserves the right to charge for breakages, excessive cleaning, overtime, unauthorised use of space, or damage caused by party guests.
⸻
11. Café, Food & Drink
All food and drink sold at MOME is subject to availability.
Menus, ingredients and prices may change at any time without notice.
While MOME endeavours to provide accurate allergen information, food is prepared in an environment where allergens are present. We cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens.
It is the responsibility of the guest to inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering. MOME accepts no liability where allergy information is not disclosed.
Outside food and drink may not be consumed on the premises unless expressly permitted by MOME. This includes birthday bookings, where separate rules may apply.
⸻
12. Safeguarding & Safety
MOME takes safeguarding seriously and operates under internal safeguarding procedures.
All adults attending MOME must behave appropriately around children and staff at all times.
Staff may intervene, relocate, or stop an activity where they believe there is a safeguarding or safety concern.
Children must not be left unattended anywhere in the venue unless in a clearly defined hosted session where the parent-on-site rules above apply.
⸻
13. Illness, Accidents & Medical Needs
Parents must disclose any relevant medical, developmental or behavioural needs that may affect their child’s participation in a session.
Any medication, allergies or health concerns remain the responsibility of the parent unless a separate written agreement has been made.
In the event of an accident, illness or emergency, MOME staff may administer reasonable first aid, contact the parent immediately, and seek emergency assistance if necessary.
MOME reserves the right to refuse participation in any session where a child’s needs cannot be safely or appropriately supported within the operational model of that session.
⸻
14. Personal Belongings, Buggies & Property
Guests bring personal belongings, buggies, toys and valuables to MOME at their own risk.
MOME accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by proven negligence.
Buggies must be parked in designated areas only. MOME reserves the right to move items where necessary for access, safety or fire regulations.
⸻
15. Photography, Filming & Marketing
MOME may occasionally take photographs or film within the venue for marketing, social media or promotional purposes.
Where identifiable images of children are intended for use, MOME will seek consent where required or provide an opportunity to opt out.
Guests may take personal photographs during their visit, but must not photograph or film other children, families or staff without permission.
MOME reserves the right to restrict photography or filming at certain events, sessions or private bookings.
⸻
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, MOME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from missed bookings, personal belongings, travel disruption, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
MOME’s total liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the amount paid for that booking.
⸻
17. Right to Refuse Service
MOME reserves the right to refuse entry, refuse service, end a booking, or require any guest to leave where these Terms & Conditions are breached, or where MOME reasonably believes this is necessary to protect staff, guests, children, or the overall experience.
No refund will be due where service is refused or ended due to breach of these Terms.
⸻
18. Pilot Services & Evolving Offerings
Where MOME introduces pilot services, trial sessions, new programming, promotional offers or evolving formats, these may change in timing, pricing, availability or structure as the business develops.
MOME reserves the right to amend or discontinue any pilot or promotional offering at any time.
⸻
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
